WEEK 11 & 12

During this week, we go into deeper about the topic MySQL. We learned more about SELECT statement and the format of doing the proper coding. Dr Emy said that once we have all the data in databases, surely we need to select a data to do anything about it like modify, update, refer and so on. We need to do something about the data so we select the particular data we want from the database using the SELECT statement we've learned this week.

After that, we did a little recap on normalization. I seriously almost forgot about normalization. Dr Emy is like a phsychic or a mind reader. She reads people's mind knowing that probably half of the class almost forgot everything about normalization. So we did a little exercise on normalization and yes I do remember the things we've learned previously.

WEEK 1 & 2

WEEK 3 & 4

This is the week where we hand in our assignment 2 and receive back our assignment 2 which was on Wednesday. Doing the assignment has been a lot stressful for me since I had to do it all by myself, but with the help of my friends from other groups. I had to work on the assignment from scratch alone since my one of my groupmates had tennis tournament and given that he said he was tired and all, the other is just simply being a typical university student. But Alhamdulillah, with the help of the Almighty I managed to stay my cool and I had friends to help me out. Big thank you to them Zakuan, Adzim, Danial, Asyraaf, Afnan, Hazmizan. Without you guys I wouldn't be able to finish the assignment at all. Today I am more than grateful because I received our assignment 2 today, Dr Emy did a pretty good job marking our assignment that quick. But the marking is quite strict, I made a simple and silly mistakes on the assignment. I knew I could have done better but overall I am satisfied with the marks I have obtained for the group, despite of working alone, our group marks is above average. So that is another personal achievement for me. (Yes I am pretty stressful about this week)

Nonetheless, during the class on this week, Dr Emy was worried about us by examining our assignment 2, some of us are still not up with normalization. Dr Emy gave us some advices and heads up to wake students up from dreamland and get our focus on since finals is just around the corner. We also learned a little bit about Simple Join. Then Dr Emy advices about the SQL codes regarding our project. We must really work on our project thoroughly . Other than that, Dr Emy gave us some final exam tips where the Question NO.4 will be about ERD, Normalization, RA and SQL which all consists of 40 marks.
